When he was first starting out, Keith Redding put himself through college on the west coast by working commercial construction crews, learning the business inside and out at the same time. When Keith returned to his hometown of Boardman, Ohio he decided to launch his own construction career. He started big with the complete renovation of a 3,300 square foot home, and before long he was working on commercial projects, designing and remodeling high-end custom homes, and renovating historic homes around the midwest.
But northeastern Ohio was a tough market for the kind of work Keith did best, and it kept getting tougher with each passing year. So in 2004, Keith relocated to Florida and launched Imagine Design & Remodel. In no time at all, Imagine Design had a full staff of designers, drafters and administrative personnel working out of an office in downtown Sarasota. And when demand for design services evaporated in the wake of the 2008 financial crash, Keith saw a perfect opportunity to pivot back to his true love: building and construction.
Today, Redding Construction Group combines Keith’s abiding passion for and deep experience in the world of construction with a well-honed sense of design. Most members of the RCG team are originally from Ohio, and their Midwestern sensibilities are foundational to the way they do business—hardworking, honest, and friendly.
As far as Keith and the rest of the crew at RCG are concerned, no project is finished until the client is happy—”after all,” Keith says, “we’re in the dream fulfillment business.”
